Once you have booked your umrah tickets, booked your hotels and got your visas, you then need to start physically and mentally preparing for an amazing trip. Here are some notes on how we think you should prepare.
✔️Learn about the rituals of umrah
Before departing for your Umrah journey, it’s essential to educate yourself about the rituals and practices involved. Study the steps of Umrah, from entering the state of Ihram to performing Tawaf and Sai. There are plenty of books and online resources to help you understand the spiritual significance and proper way to perform these rites.
✔️Build up your stamina
Umrah will require you to do a lot of walking and it is a good idea to start getting the steps in before you leave for Saudi. The Tawaf can range from 1.4 km to 4.1 km, depending on the crowd and which floor it is performed on, while the Sa’i between the hills of Safa and Marwah is approximately 2.8 km.
✔️Pack Wiseley
Pack modest and comfortable clothing suitable for the Saudi Arabian climate. Keep in mind that Saudi Arabia has a warm desert climate, so lightweight, breathable fabrics are ideal. Don’t forget to bring essential items such as Ihram, prayer mats, and a guidebook on Umrah rituals.
It is very important that you pack comfortable footwear.

✔️Get your currency sorted
It is always a good idea to get local currency arranged before you leave or from the airport in Saudi. We also always have our Revalout or Monzo card which is accepted in most countries.
✔️Print your documents
When we travel we will always have a copy of our documents. Have a copy of your visa, hotel bookings and also meningitis vaccine certificate. The likelihood is you won’t need all of these but it is good practice to have these to hand.
